«Flims Mountain Films» is a festival celebrating the diversity of alpine life in all its facets. Set in a landscape that has long inspired adventurers, filmmakers and athletes, the festival brings the world of mountain film to Flims – from skiing and snowboarding to mountain biking and mountaineering.
The festival presents a carefully curated selection of films from across the mountain sports spectrum. Over two evenings, the full cinematic range of mountain sports unfolds – from mountain biking, climbing and alpinism to the fascinating world of snow sports.
Athletes and filmmakers are on hand to share personal insights into the making of their films, the challenges they faced, and the stories behind their productions. Each evening culminates in the presentation of the Jury Award for best film.
«Flims Mountain Films» is committed to clear dramaturgy, powerful themes and immediate encounters. The festival aims not just to showcase alpine culture, but to make it tangible – establishing Flims as an inspiring meeting point for the wider mountain sports community.
